Ouranos is the Primordial God of the Sky, the husband of Gaia, and the father of Kronos. He was the chief deity before Kronos, and would later be overthrown by him.
Appearance
Ouranos is a large deity with sky blue skin that darkens further down on his body, with white streaks across his arms and torso. His hair is long and white, with the ends flowing out into clouds. He has six white eyes, three on each side of his face, that lack visible pupils or irises. Ouranos wears a simple white loincloth wrapped around his hips, and is depicted with a giant golden ring floating around his body.
History
Ouranos is first mentioned and pictured in Episode 145. He is revealed to have been the first chief deity, who took control over the gods by harnessing the fertility goddess powers of his wife, Gaia. He was later overthrown by his own son, Kronos. His current status and whereabouts are unknown.
Ouranos' motivations for pairing with Gaia are further explained by Metis in Episode 229. According to Metis, Ouranos approached Gaia and asked her to imbue him with the power to carry out a new and obscure concept - hierarchy. While not much is known about his personality, Ouranos was indicated to be power hungry, as he desired to be the one true ruler of the Gods. He formed a union with Gaia so that he could weaponize her power to control the cosmos, showing he cared more for power than he did for others.
