Summary[]
The episode starts with a flask back, going back a few months ago. We see Eros at a beach side bar, drinking vodka tonic. He spots Aphrodite walking along the sidewalk and calls her out to invite her to his table. He hugs her and says "Momma bear, how are you?". She says she wasn't doing good and she needed him to do her a favour. She further explains that mortals were claiming who was there was a mortal prettier than her. He says they're idiots and asks for the name of the woman, who was Psyche.
We later see them on the terrace of the mortal realm flight access. Aphrodite tells Eros to remember that Psyche must fall in love with the ugliest creature he could find. He tells her not to worry, blows her a kiss and descends downwards. While descending, he peeks through someone's window.
Upon reaching the ground, he immediately thinks his surroundings are quite fancy and gets frightened by a pig comes a bit too close to him. He expects it will make do of an ugly creature. He says that as long as he holds it, Psyche won't see or hear him. They eventually come to Psyche's house where they see her in a long train veil. Eros questions that she's be prettier than Aphrodite as he didn't have a clear view. When she turned towards him, he peers through her veil and instantly falls in love, though he denied it.
He pulls he veil and Psyche then gets up and starts walking, while leaving him to where she was going. He follows her. Psyche's mother says she had good news, that her father was searching for a husband for Psyche. She thinks it's a bit too early, which her mother slaps her. Her mother says she should be grateful for what her beauty affords her. Eros says to Psyche, though she can't hear her, that her mom was a stone-cold bitch. She starts crying, which Eros says makes his job diligent. Eros begins slowly taking out a bow from his quiver but stops as he was captured by Psyche's beauty that he was unable to pierce her.
